2010 Show Rules, Classes, Judging Worksheet, and Layout


Before You get to the Car Show:

  1. Have your show ticket you redeem this ticket for the registration display card.

  2. Know your GSCA/non-member number, your registration is verified by this number.

  3. Know your car! What class do you want to be in? Will your car qualify for that class? Does your car have the correct VIN for that class?

  4. Be on time. Allow time for waiting in line. Late registration cannot be accepted, cutoff time is 9:30 AM.

  5. It is your responsibility to be properly registered at the event.


At the Car Show:

  1. When you enter the show area you must check with a show official for class registration and placement in the correct show class.

  2. Be careful in selecting the correct class for your car. A show official has the option to reclassify any car in case of any dispute regarding correct class even after parked.

  3. Once the class is determined, your show registration ticket will be exchanged for the show display card by a show official.

  4. Proceed directly to your class area and park, another show official will be glad to help you.

  5. As most of the show area will be crowded, be courteous and do not block isles by setting up tents, tables, or other items until all cars are parked.

  6. Show cars with incorrect VINs for the class will be disqualified.

  7. Show cars winning first place two years in a row in the same class will not be eligible for a trophy the third in that class. For the third year the car may: 1. Show in another class if applicable. 2. Remain in the class with a special no vote Two Time 1st Place Winner Trophy Plaque. This requires that you have your registration in by April 4 stating your intentions for two time winner status. 3. Show and be judged in Concours. 4. Sit out a year and return to normal voting the following year. 

  8. Cars not registered at the event by 9:30AM will not be judged or be eligible for a trophy.

  9. Cars will only be judged with the registration form properly filled out and displayed on the dash under the windshield on the driver's side.

  10. Classes will be judged according to the methods in the class lsitings.

  11. Cars must be Buick bodied or Buick powered..

  12. Cars cannot be jacked up or put on blocks due to safety concerns.

  13. Windows should be down and hood/trunk open to receive points for interior, engine compartment, and trunk categories.

  14. Convertible tops should be up or 2 points will be deducted from score.

  15. "For Sale" signs will result in disqualification.

  16. Names on the registration forms which can not be verified by GSCA/non-member number will be disqualified..

  17. Trophies not picked up by the end of the event on Saturday must make arrangements.

  18. Judging worksheets will b made available 2 weeks after th Nationals, check for details.

  19. Must be a current GSCA member or registered non-member to judge any class.

Show Classes Judged using a 100 Point System:
All categories’ are worth 5 points each. Points are based on a deduction system. All cars start out with the maximum number of points. Points are deducted based on discrepancies found.
Points are to be deducted as follows: Excellent = a check mark (No flaws observed); Very Good = 1; Good = 2;
Fair = 3; Poor = 4; Unsatisfactory = 5.      Note: Enter a check mark in any category that does not apply.
